Members of Islamist insurgent group, Boko Haram, apparently gathered in an open field to celebrate Sallah, a Muslim feast that was marked last Thursday, according to a video released by the sect Members of Islamist insurgent group.

as their choice and took part in the post UTME screening
exercise can now
check their admission status on this website.
Candidates whose names appeared on the admission list
are advised to process with their UNN Acceptance Fee
payment and
Admission Slip.
Acceptance Fee Payment Instruction
Candidates offered provisional admission are required to
follow the guidelines to regularize
their acceptance of the offer:
(1) Visit the University of Nigeria official portal
(www.unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.unn.edu.ng). When
the page loads up, log in your JAMB Registration No. to
generate and download a unique Payment Invoice for
acceptance fee.
After generating the Invoice, take it to any branch of;
>Zenith bank,
>UBA,
>Fidelity Bank,
>Access Bank
>First Bank
On the e-tranzact platform you are expected to pay the
sum of twenty five thousand naira (N25, 000.00)
acceptance fee. Ensure that the Invoice Number is keyed
in
appropriately at the bank and obtain a confirmation slip
containing a Confirmation
Number and your Invoice Number.
(2) After making payment, you are to return to the
University of Nigeria website (www.unn.edu.ng) or portal
(unnportal.unn.edu.ng) and log-in with your JAMB
Registration Number, the Confirmation Number and Invoice
Number, then print the Admission slip and complete the
Acceptance
Form online.
(3) Proceed with other fee payments and registration as
indicated on the University of
Nigeria website.

The Lunar Eclipse Astronomical event in Nigeria.

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASDRA) has calmed and allayed fears that being nursed by Nigerians over the blood moon occurrence in the early hours of this morning.

Speaking through Dr. Benjamin Ayetunji, NASRDA’s Chief Scientific Officer, he gave explained the logic behind it and shot down claims of any spiritual significance being the epic happening.

The lunar eclipse began at 01:11 a.m. and ended at 06:22 a.m in Nigeria

Ayetunji explained that the lunar eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when the earth comes in between the sun and the moon and the earth cast its shadow on the moon. He said that lunar eclipse occurs when the earth’s shadow blocks the sunlight, which otherwise reflects off the moon.

“There is no myth attached to lunar eclipse, it will even shock you to know that it happens every month when there is full moon depending on the location.”

He urged Nigerians to just “watch and appreciate science’’.

Low turn out of students as Imo state university resumes for the final quarter of the year.

IMO state university first semester for final quarter of the year just started and your No 1 school news and information hub was on ground to see how the school environment was.

There was low turn out of students as the environment was more of graduating students who have come to do their final clearance. A look at the ever busy ATM stand has few students making withdrawals.

We hope that as the days pass by that students will Turn out en masse as the semester seems to be short.
