PEP GUARDIOLA has added fuel to the fire that he could be moving to Chelsea by claiming his Bayern Munich contract is ‘not important’.
The former Barcelona boss sparked rumours that he would be taking over from Jose Mourinho after revealing his desire to manage in London.
The Daily Mail reported last week that he told friends he wanted a move to England this summer and had set his sights on the capital.
And given the turmoil currently surrounding Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, the best bet is he will be taking the helm in south west London.
According to Daily Express Sport, the Portuguese could be ousted if the Blues fail to pick up a result against Liverpool this weekend.
And now the Bayern boss has caused further speculation by refusing to confirm his long-term future is with the Bundesliga club.
“I like my job, I am here to help the club and the players. That’s my job,” he told reporters.
“Everything else is not important. We are in October at the moment, so there is still plenty of time [to discuss contracts].”
