Reigners Bible Church collapse in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Nigerians are now in mourn as a result of a collapsed church on Saturday between 11-12am, it was recorded that close to 200 worshipers died as the Reigners Bible Church in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria collapsed.
The church was said to be filled to its full capacity as the consecration of its Pastor (Church Founder), Apostle Akan Weeks as a Bishop was going on when the incident happened.

Governor Udom Emmanuel with a large entourage comprising his deputy, some commissioners and many senior officials of the state government.
The governor escaped death but some of his aides were not so fortunate.

We pray for a special grace for the families that lost loved ones to bear their loss as the investigation on the course of the Church collapse is ongoing.

Funke Akindele Speaks On The Future Of Her Relationship With JJC,

Ever since her first marriage to Kehinde Oloyede broke up in 2013, not much has been heard about the love life of one of Nigeria’s sweethearts, Funke Akindele .
In a recent chat with Saturday Beats, the actress said that she intentionally shielded her private life from
the public because of what she faced during her first failed marriage.

“I really don’t like discussing about my
private life anymore because it pays to
keep that part of your life secret.
A lot of people are watching and
sometimes you read a lot of negative
comments about you which could make
you want to derail, so it is better to keep
matters of the heart close to the heart.
I am the one in it and I know what is
good for me. I am sorry I don’t want to
talk about anything that has to do with
my private life.” However, it seems her new found love, popular rap artiste, JJC Skill , does not share her opinion going by
the Snapchat videos of his posts on the social media.
Although the duo are currently in the United Kingdom, last week, the rap caused a stir when he posted some
snapchat pictures of his kids on the dining table and just before the video ended, the camera faced Funke
Akindele , who seemed to be in her pyjamas. Before the dust could settle on the snapchat video that had everyone talking, the rap artiste posted
another video earlier this week.
This time, it featured his mother praying for a delighted Funke Akindele.
One of the prayer points was that the actress would be blessed with the fruit of the womb and she would provide her with good grandchildren.
Beaming with smiles from one ear to another, the actress eagerly said amen in the short video. The actress is currently on vacation and it seems she is spending a lot of time with the musician. When Saturday Beats reached the actress camp to confirm if the pair were an item, her publicist, Biodun Kupoluyi, said that Funke and JJC had been friends for a long time and they still maintained that friendship.
“Two of them have been friends for a
long time and they still remain close
friends. They have been helping each
other’s career for a while,” he said.

Yesterday really showed the divide among the ethnic groups that make up Nigeria as men of the Nigerian army opened fire on each other with at least three soldiers feared dead.
EASTERN RADIO gathered that the cause of the shooting and killing was as a result of ill treatment of the Igbo soldiers as to concerning peace keepings.
According our source, 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu were giving a mandate to shortlist about 54 soldiers to join hands and combat Niger Delta Militants uprising, which the GOC Brigadier Gen Ibrahim Attahiru assigned to two commanders who hails from Northern and another from South Western Nigeria respectively.
But owing to disunity, nepotism and tribalism that beclouds the Nation Nigeria, these commanders shortlisted all 54 Igbo soldiers.
One of the enlisted Soldier who was saddened by the outcome of this list questioned the process used to enlist only Igbo Soldiers to this mission of death. The commander picked offense and demanded to know what gave him the audacity to question him, talk more off conceiving to disobey a military order.
The said Commander in display of anger pulled out his gun and shot this young soldier on the forehead, killing him instantly. Another soldier who is among the enlisted soldiers immediately withdrew his own gun and fired the commander thereby killing him too. He then directed the gun on the second commander.
It became a war ground as soldiers all surrendered themselves. Civilians where all on their heels. There would have been a blood bath in 82 Division Enugu but thanks to imediate intervention by the GOC who calmed the atmosphere of war.

Buhari Appoints Ooni as UNN Chancellor

President Buhari has appointed the
Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye
Ogunwusi Ojaja ll, as the Chancellor
of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The
Ooni's appointment was announced
by the Director of Media, Ooni’s
Palace, Moses Olafare, yesterday February 18th.
    “This appointment would
     develop further and enable
     the monarch to build more
     bridges of friendship most
     especially across the Niger,”
the statement read
The Ooni would assume office as
the institution's Chancellor on
February 20th.

Nigerian Army rescue 195 people from Boko Haram

The Nigerian army has rescued 195 persons
held hostage by terrorist sect, Boko Haram,
during a joint clearance patrol on several
terrorists locations in Borno.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian army
had on Wednesday announced the rescue of
about 350 persons from a Boko Haram
enclaves.
On Thursday, a statement signed by the
Acting Director Army Public Relations,
Colonel Sani Usman, indicated the latest
rescue of Boko Haram captives.
The statement also noted that several
hardwares were recovered from the terrorist,
as well as cattle and other items.
“The Nigerian troops of 7 Division Garrison
comprising 112 Battalion and Armed Forces
Special Forces yesterday carried out a joint
clearance patrol on suspected Boko Haram
terrorists locations at Kwaptara, Mijigete,
Garin Boka, Mosole, Ngubdori, Ma’asa, Dukje
and Gulumba in Dikwa and Bama Local
Government Areas of Borno State.
“The troops discovered Boko Haram
terrorists camp, patent medicine outfit and
major market at Gulumba. Quite a number of
Boko Haram terrorists were killed and
several items were recovered. This includes 2
logistic trucks, 180 motorcycles, 750 bicycles
and various perishable and non-perishable
items such as a 100 KVA Mikano generator
and grinding machine.
“In addition, they also rescued 195 persons
held hostage, recovered 300 cows, 200 sheep
and 130 goats rustled by the insurgents. The
troops also recovered military items such as
camouflage uniforms as well as rifle
magazines and grenades.
“The unprecedented feat was achieved
through the renewed cooperation and
support of the public who provide timely
information to the troops.”
