Sad!!! Youth corps member dies in church… during night vigil

Tragedy struck in Delta state, when a youth
corps member slumped and died in a church
in the state.
The youth corps member, identified as
Excellent Okpako Akevwighome, slumped and
died while leading a choir ministration in his
church, Christ Gospel Church.
The church is located in Edjeketa community,
Ethiope West Local Government Area, Delta
State.
Akevwighome, a graduate of Delta State
University, Anwai campus was said
to slumped and died midway into the vigil
while leading the choir.
According to an eye witness,
when Akevwighom fell, he was thought to be
under the influence of Holy Spirit, but after
about 20 minutes and he was still on the
floor, some of the choristers tried to help
him up only to find out that he was dead.
The Pastor of the church, Pastor Peter
Akpovwera, expressed shock at the incident,
saying “the brother was a faithful worshipper
but lost his life to the cold hand of death
even in the church.”
His younger brother, Godday Akevwighome,
said the victim was serving in Anambra state
at the time of his untimely death.
