How To Inspire Manners In Your Children

1. When entering the house greet your children with hugs and kisses. This should help develop their sense of love and care.

2. Be good to your neighbours and never backbite. Never speak ill of other drivers when on the road. Your children listen, absorb and emulate.

3. When calling your parents, encourage your children to speak to them. When visiting your parents take your children with you. The more they see you take care & respect your parents, the more they will learn to take care of you.

4. When out driving with them, don't just slot in your cds or listen to the radio but also interact, making the ride both fun and impactful.

5. Read them a short story and even a scripture a day – it doesn't take much time, but can help create strong family bonds, the habit of studying the word daily and ultimately, creation of wonderful memories.

6. Comb your hair, clean your teeth and wear presentable cloths even if sitting at home and not going out for the day. They need to learn that being clean and tidy has nothing to do with going out!...so true.

7. Try not to blame or comment on every word or action they say or do. Learn to overlook and let go sometimes. This certainly builds their self-confidence and problem solving abilities.

8. Ask your children's permission before entering their rooms. Don't just knock and enter, always wait for a verbal permission. They will learn to do the same when wanting to enter your room.

9. Apologize to your children if you made a mistake. Apologizing teaches them that no one is above mistakes and also the importance of being humble and polite.

10. Don't be sarcastic or make fun of their views or feelings, even if you "didn't mean it" and was "only joking". It really hurts.

11. Respect your children's privacy. Its important for their sense of value and self-esteem.

12. Don't expect that they will listen or understand sometimes. Try not to take it personal. But be patient and consistent.

13.Pray with them. Show them how to pray. Lead by example. Always the most effective method of teaching them.

Give We The Gay our Right or kill us :malawian youth

26-year-old Eric Sambisa who is now in hiding since
he came out as gay said the situation for the LGBT
people in Malawi has become untenable.
"The homophobic government should either
kill and eliminate gays, or give them rights."
he told Times TV.
Sambisa was briefly detained by the police after his
interview was published online and broadcast on TV.
Homosexuality is illegal in Malawi and like Nigeria,
attracts a prison sentence of 14 years.
Sambisa told the newspaper that the advent of
social media has simplified the networking of gays
in Malawi as they are able to find partners in
private groups on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for a former ruling
Peoples Party, Ken Msonda has labelled
homosexuality as an act of evil and gays as sons
and daughters of the evil one-Jabulosi(Satan).
"Gays and lesbians are worse than dogs" he
wrote on his Facebook account. "Arresting
them won't address this problem because
sooner or later they are being released on
bail. The best way to deal with this problem
is to KILL THEM!"
He also lashed out at the country's media houses
for giving the homosexuals a platform to express
their views.
"It is pathetic to see our media houses
parading these dogs on TV and newspapers
hiding behind human rights-human rights my
foot! THE DEVIL HAS NO RIGHTS!," Msonda
added in anger.

WhatsApp Has Been Banned For 48 Hours

Brazil is in the midst of a WhatsApp blackout, after a court in the country ordered access to the messaging service blocked for 48 hours, starting at midnight on Thursday, local time. A judge in the city of Sao Paulo initiated the blockade on the service, telling Brazil’s telecoms companies to stop the use of the country’s most popular messaging app, but did not divulge the name of the company or individual responsible for the injunction.

Brazilian telecommunications companies have attempted to halt the stratospheric growth of WhatsApp in the country before, arguing to the government that the messaging app’s free calling option is unregulated and illegal, and blaming the service for a marked decrease in people picking up cellphone contracts. Earlier this year, Amos Genish, president of Brazilian telecoms firm Vivo, called WhatsApp “pure piracy,” specifying that the service used phone numbers that “belonged” to cellphone providers like his.
