Everyday everywhere women wants to
look their best, this very second as
you read someone is putting the
finishing touches to their appearance –
and it not just women alone!. It’s the
biggest holiday season of the year and
I thought it prudent to share some of
my time honour make up secret with
you.
1. Moisturizer – No matter what your
age, you need to moisturize the
delicate skin around your eyes daily!
Most eye moisturizers will also have
anti-aging benefits and ingredients,
and the added moisture (once
absorbed) will help products go on
more smoothly. We recommend
Cliniderm lotions (including the anti-
aging line) due to their guaranteed
irritant-free ingredients.
2. Primer – Any eye makeup
application technique and eye look will
benefit from a good eye shadow base
(also called lid primer). Not only will it
even out your lid, it will give your liner
and eye shadow extra staying power.
3. Conceal – While your primer is
drying, it’s time to conceal your
under-eye area. Even if you don’t
necessarily have dark circles, under-
eye concealer (one shade lighter than
your normal skin tone) will even and
brighten the whole look of your eyes.
4. Brows – One of the most important
steps in the order of eye makeup
application is to groom, fill in, and
define your brows. The highest point
of your arch should fall in line with
the outer rim of your iris (when
looking straight ahead). By holding a
pencil or liner brush parallel to the
side of the bridge of your nose, your
inner eyebrow edge should start there.
Holding the pencil diagonally from
your nostril to the outer corner of
your eye, you’ve just found the right
end point of your brows. Remember
not to over-tweeze, and use an
appropriate shade of brow liner or eye
shadow to fill in. And that, my friend,
is how to get perfect eyebrows!
5. Eye shadow – A good basic eye
shadow technique uses two similar
shades, one lighter than the other.
Sweep the lighter shade over the inner
three-quarters of your lid, then apply
the darker shade in the crease (stop
about halfway in), to the outer corner,
then bring it in along the upper lash
line, creating a sideways V shape. You
can also line the lower lash line with
the same darker hue. This technique
works for most eye shapes, but to
really learn the tricks of the trade, you
can find dozens of how-to videos and
tutorials online for making the most of
your particular shape.
6. Eyeliner – Again, to really make the
most of your eye makeup application
for your eye shape, it would be worth
your while to put in a little research.
But, most eye shapes are safe with
lining the upper lash line (about half
way in) and smudging with a shadow
brush. Follow similarly on the lower
lashes. Applying liquid eyeliner can be
a bit trickier, but can absolutely make
more of an impact. Tutorials, how-
to’s, and practice are beginners’ best
friends, so keep reading our other
articles for more eyeliner application
tips for beginners and experts!
7. Curl – One of the most overlooked
steps in eye makeup application tips
for beginners and long time users is
curling the eyelashes. There really is
no secret in how to curl your
eyelashes. A heated eyelash curler is
the easiest and safest for your natural
lashes (its application is similar to that
of mascara – gentle upward strokes),
but any drugstore curler should do if
you are on a tight budget. With clean
lashes, start at the base and gently
squeeze. Hold for two seconds, slide
the curler up to mid shaft and squeeze
for another two seconds. This will give
your lashes a graceful, beautiful curve
that will open up the look of your eye.
8. Mascara – If you are unsure what
kind to get, it’s best to start with an
oil free mascara, one that is natural
and hypoallergenic. Two coats should
do it. One of the most crucial eye
makeup application tips for beginners
and skin health-conscious females is
to always check with EWG’s Skin Deep
Cosmetics Database to find safe beauty
products. If you think FDA has you
covered for ingredient safety, think
again!
9. Lashes – Now, if you’re feeling
brave with your eye makeup
application, or if you just want an
extra bit of oomph, you can add some
individual false eyelashes to the outer
corners of your eyes, or accent lashes
(A.K.A. half lashes). Dab a tiny bit of
eyelash adhesive on the base of the
false lash, and tuck into your lashes
with a pair or tweezers (don’t worry…
the glue will dry clear). We
recommend practicing on cheap
human hair eyelashes or even those
made of synthetics, that you can pick
up at your local drugstore. After a few
application test runs, you are ready to
switch to the most natural-looking and
luxurious false eyelashes on the
market – Minki Lashes made of
authentic cruelty-free Siberian mink!
With Minki Lashes, you can even easily
skip step #9 and apply a full strip of
falsies instead of mascara.
10. Highlight – The final touch is a bit
of shimmer. Sweep a very light
pearlescent shadow under your brow
(from the arch outward) and in your
tear duct area. Perfection!

FOR THE LADIES EYE MAKE UP ESSENTIALS
FG: N165.3 billion to be spent on new projects
The Ministry of Power, Works and
Housing’s N282.4 billion capital
budget, N165.3 billion will be spent
on new projects, a document has
shown.
The cash will be spent on construction
of roads, provision of houses,
electricity and railway.
According to the 2016 budget proposal
the ministry submitted to the National
Assembly (NASS), new electricity
projects are estimated to cost about
N20.6 billion.
About N57.7 billion will be spent on
the construction of houses, N86.6
billion on new roads and N256 million
on railway projects
Among the projects are rehabilitation
of the Lagos/ Sagamu/Ibadan dual
carriage way, sections 1 & 2 (N66
billion); rehabilitation of Third
Mainland Bridge and underwater
works (N34.2 billion) and repair of
Enugu/Port Harcourt dual carriage
way sections 1,2,3 & 4 at (N13.2
billion).
The Minister, Babatunde Fashola,
during his maiden media conference,
spoke of massive roads construction,
especially those that will connect the
states and those that would promote
the economy.
There are also plans to build houses,
especially in partnerships with states.
Thus, about 1973 blocks of 7068
housing units will be built in the
geopolitical zones and the Federal
Capital Territory with the N57.7
billion.
About N117.1 billion is allocated to
repairs and rehabilitation of existing
projects.
Aside, the ministry is expected to
repair defense equipment, military
barracks and air navigation equipment.
According to the budget, about
N111.7 billion is for road repairs,
N601.2 million will be spent on
railway rehabilitation and waterways
repair will cost N2.5 billion.
Other rehabilitation projects listed in
the ministry’s project include airport/
aerodromes (N634.9 million), defence
equipment (N650 million), recreation
facilities ((N377.2 million), air
navigational equipment (N292.3
million) and Defence barracks (N367.7
million).
There are also the rehabilitation of
Apapa-Oshodi Expressway (N4 billion),
Construction of new access roads to
Apapa/Tin can NNPC depots, Atlas cove
to Mile 2 at N1.3 billion, among
others.
The ministry is said to be owing
contractors over N250 billion. It was
gathered that if the ministry is to pay
the outstanding debts from the new
budget, it will be little to spend on
completing old projects much less
embark on new ones.
As for projects completed but awaiting
payments, the following sum has been
allocated for major economic routes:
Onitsha and Enugu (N173.4 million),
Onitsha and Owerri (N102.8 million),
major link between Lagos and Ogun
states (N115.9 million)
Actresses can be happily married – Mercy Johnson
Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has
debunked claims that most actresses
do not make a good wife.
In a chat with Leadership, she used her
own marriage as an example, revealing
that her secret is honesty and being
humble in spite of the fame.
Speaking on the general notion that
actresses do not make good wives, the
mother of three said, “Well, I can only
speak from my own perspective and
when I say my perspective, I mean
from my personal experiences,
marriage and relationship with my
husband. One of the biggest lies
anyone can tell himself/herself is using
one or more random experiences to
judge and stereotype others. We all
have our different stories to tell. I
have three children for my husband
today and he has not stopped talking
about how down-to-earth I was yet I
am an actress; not just any actress.”
Mercy added that although she had a
large ‘following’ at a time, she did not
go around ‘pouting’ her lips or
‘playing the snub.’
The ‘Dumebi’ thespian went further to
reveal how her husband asked her to
cook for him the first day she set foot
in his house.
She said, “At first, I was stunned that a
Nigerian man was asking me to enter
his kitchen to cook him a meal. A part
of me whispered to me that perhaps,
he was not aware of who I was and
when I said to him: ‘You must be
joking. My name is Mercy Johnson’.
What shocked me even more was his
response when he said: ‘I know’.
Rather than take offense, I was drawn
closer to him.
“As I said earlier, I am an actress who
is correcting the rigid stand that
actresses cannot have happy homes
when they get married. Also, bear in
mind that there are several Nigerian
actresses like me who are happily
married. Having a happy marriage is a
choice a woman has to make. When
you decide to have a happy marriage,
you focus your thoughts, actions,
words, work and everything else
around protecting that happiness,” she
asserted.
On the reason behind high divorce rate
among celebrities, she quipped, “In
marriage, you must have trust and you
must also have love. The moment you
lose these two, then it is just a matter
of time before you embark on a
calamitous countdown towards the end
of your marriage. My relationship with
my husband has been very special. He
is not just my husband or father of my
children. He is my friend.”

President Buhari’s Happy New Year Message To Nigerians
Welcome to the beginning of a New Year of the
continuation of CHANGE in our beloved nation. I
am aware that Nigerians have experienced a
number of significant hardships over the past
months. Living in the State House has not
alienated me from your daily sufferings.
I am aware of the lengthy queues at fuel
stations and of the difficulties businesses have
faced in acquiring foreign exchange. These
challenges are only temporary; we are working
to make things better. When I presented myself
to you as a presidential candidate and asked
you to vote for me, I wanted to be a leader who
keeps his promises. I wanted to be a leader who
restores the people’s hope in those elected to
serve them.
I wanted to be a leader who initiates positive
and enduring CHANGE. I am still totally
committed to being that kind of leader.
Unforeseen circumstances and other distractions
notwithstanding, I shall still do my utmost best
to keep every promise I made to Nigerians
during my election campaign. In the past seven
months since our inauguration on May 29, 2015,
my administration has focused on laying the
right foundation for the CHANGE you voted for
during our historic presidential election.
Nigerians will in due course begin to enjoy the
fruits of all our ongoing work. The effective and
efficient implementation of our 2016 budget
proposals will address many of the socio-
economic issues that are of current concern to
our people.
One area in which Nigerians, especially those in
the northeast, have already begun to experience
major CHANGE is in the war on terror. I
commend our Armed Forces for significantly
curtailing the insurgency which has ravaged the
northeast of Nigeria over the past few years.
However, there is still a lot of work to be done
in the area of security. Our Armed Forces will
maintain, consolidate and build on their
successes in the war against Boko Haram and
violent extremism. This government will not
consider the matter concluded until the
terrorists have been completely routed and
normalcy restored to all parts of the country
that have been adversely affected by the Boko
Haram insurgency. Our crackdown on corruption
will continue to be vigorously undertaken. I urge
the courts to support our efforts and help in the
recovery of stolen funds by speedily concluding
trials and showing that impunity no longer has
a place in our country.
There is much work to do in other areas as well
and I have charged all my ministers and other
appointees to ensure that Nigerians experience
positive changes in their lives in 2016. We must
reduce our country’s reliance on oil. We must
diversify our economy. And we must do all we
can to promote job creation. Our challenges are
many but our determination to succeed is
strong and unshaken. So too is our confidence
in God. I wish you all a very Happy New Year.
MUHAMMADU Buhari

A-Court reverses nullification of Gov Ishaku’s election
—The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja
has reversed the judgement of the Taraba
State Governorship Election Petition
Tribunal which sacked governor Darius
Ishaku of the People Democratic Party,
PDP. In a unanimous judgment this
afternoon, the appellate court panel headed
by Justice Justice Abdul Aboky, held that the
tribunal acted outside its jurisdiction when
it invalidated Ishaku’s election on the
premise that he was not validly nominated
by the PDP.
Alex Otti declared winner of Abia governorship election
Alex Otti, candidate of the All Progressives
Grand Alliance in the Abia State Governorship
election has been declared the Governor-
elect by the Court of Appeal.
The court ruled on Thursday that incumbent
Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu of the Peoples
Democratic Party, to vacate the office.
The swearing-in of Otti was also ordered by
the Appeal Court.
Seven things I learnt this year
1. Always be prepared:
You never know when that opportunity you have
been praying for will come..so always be
prepared, for when it eventualy comes, you will
be ready!
2. Don't look down on anybody:
God can use anybody for you! That you are
better than someone else doesn't mean they
cannot be a blessing to you in one form or the
other.
Be pleasant to everyone.
3. There is no such thing as a perfect Man.
Like some ladies will always say, I want a "tall,
dark, handsome, rich, heavily broadchested, out
spoken, God fearing, romanctic, neat,
fashionable, and perfect man with good
accent' '...nah, ladies, they don't exist...you will
end up wasting decades of your life waiting for
that Perfect Man to arrive.
People are flawed. I’m not suggesting you lower
your impossible standards for finding the right
mate, but you might want to relax your checklist
for acceptable suitors.
Often times, “Mr. Good Enough” turns out, in
the end, to be your “Mr. Perfect”, because you
are able to live through the flaws to see the real
goodness in the man that your previous societal
brainwashing had prevented you from directly
witnessing. Yup, i learnt that :)
4. Be friendly
In our moments of weakness, we all need that
one person whom we can share our secrets
with. That one person you can talk to, share
anything with, run to for encouragement and
more. No man is an island. Make friends, have a
circle of two or three most trusted friends.
5. Don't joke with God
A life without God is incomplete...it is how
much you value God that he will value you!
6. Be wise with your spending:
Don't just always buy everything just because
you have more than enough to spend.
Save. Be miserly. Many of the luxurious things
you end up buying will fade away eventually.
You even only get to use some of them just
once or twice and that's it, the big money spent
to acquire them is gone.
7. Be a Blessing
Always give, even if you don't have
much...sometimes, the little you give goes a
long way into putting smiles on people's face.
You would be glad at how much people value
the little you give to them.
Thank you 2015. For the lessons and blessings,
Victories and grace. It's been a remarkable year.
Dear 2016, I am super ready. =-d =d
Happy New Year in advance!
I love you all so much.

See the 35 key quotes from Buhari’s Presidential Media Chat.
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday
evening, hosted his maiden Presidential
Media Chat since assuming office on May 29,
2015.
The President was asked questions about
issues bordering on challenges of insecurity,
the economy, corruption, dearth of
infrastructure, Boko Haram, education, the
Biafra agitation and the recent Zaria
massacre of Shiite Muslims.
Here are 35 key quotes:
War on corruption will take years, we
are appealing to some countries to
cooperate with us, Nigeria on its knees.
Treasury looters will eventually end up
in the courts. We can’t do it on our own.
We need the cooperation of
countries where they took the money.
I don’t think I picked anybody (as
Minister) that I know will embarrass my
government.
We don’t have a credible intelligence to
show that the Chibok girls are alive
and in one place. That’s the truth.
If you find any of my 36 Ministers with
a corruption case in court, name them
so I can look into it.
I am allowing all the investigative bodies
to do their job regarding the Shiite
crisis. I have to wait for the official
report before I can come out as head of
government to make a statement (on the
Zaria killings).
I saw some clips of excited youth hitting
chests of army generals but we can’t
justify the level of casualty.
Police can not investigate the
army. There is no way I can ask the
Police to investigate the Army. That will
be a misnomer.
How can a group create a state within a
state, It is unacceptable.
When I say the war has been technically
won, I meant their capacity to carry out
conventional attack has weakened.
70% of Internally Displaced Persons are
women, over 65% of the children are
orphans not knowing where they come
from. Pathetic!
The military is the last group that will
take the break down of law and order
lightly because they suffer the most.
Hijab would have to be banned if suicide
bombing continues.
We have got 1.5 trillion naira into
Central Bank so far through the Treasury
Single Account.
We had just 9% for capital expenditure
last year. People just sat down and
shared money. We are in a bad shape.
We have banned the importation of
toothpicks and goods we waste our
foreign currency on.
Our priority is for welders, barbers,
building our roads & railways, not rice &
expensive textile wear.
Our priority is to empower people who
are producing goods and employing
people.
I will not support devaluation of the
Naira. I need to be convinced that there
is need for the country to devalue the
Naira.
By the end of next quarter, you will not
be talking of subsidy. The price is so low
that there is no need to subsidize
anything.
I turned down a N400 million car
proposal for the presidency. I said the
cars I have are good enough for 10
years.
I have to hold a closed-door meeting
with the National Assembly regarding the
cars they are trying to buy. I hope they
haven’t bought them yet. They can’t buy
cars for themselves and also take money
in car loans.
We would employ youth, give them cash
programme on Education and send them
to teach at Primary schools.
Fashola was not made a super Minister
for nothing.
China agreed to pay 70% of cost of
railway projects between Lagos and
Kaduna and Lagos and Calabar, but
previous government failed to pay
counterpart funding of 30%.
The process of government agencies
earning monies and spending them and
giving government change will have to
stop.
All government monies have to be
paid to the Federation Account and a
budget submitted for their operations.
Our parastatals would be realigned in
view of the lesser number of Ministries
we now have.
We are being economically stretched.
Foreign exchange will be made available
to the productive sectors of the
economy and not for luxury items.
The Minister of Finance and the Central
Bank have to sit down immediately to
look at ways to help students who are
already outside the country to overcome
the challenges posed by the foreign
exchange limitation policy.
There are evidences of treasonable
felony against Nnamdi Kanu.
Pro-Biafrans believe that they are
marginalized but they have refused to
state how and by who?

10 Statements Non Virgin Ladies Normally Find Offensive
1. Are you a virgin?
This question sounds inoffensive but I can
assure you that the larger percent of our
ladies will get offended by it. Some of them
are usually very timid and uncomfortable
answering this question and may get angry.
When you start dating a lady and you take
the courage to ask this question, she will give
you a stern look, which will be interpreted as
“I thought you said you love me?”. This
reminds me when I asked this same question
and she began to narrate how she fell from a
mango tree when she was primary 3 and she
began to bleed. In other words, that was how
she lost her virginity. *smh*
2. Virgin Ladies are more Respected by
their partners than non-virgins
This particular statement makes them feel
unworthy. You would also notice the
‘regretful look’ on their faces, wishing they
never lost it
3. I want to marry a virgin lady
Don’t even utter this statement especially
when you are in the midst of the female
folks, or else, they will tag you a clown.
However, when this statement is being
uttered, ladies will begin to interrogate you
with questions like “after you have defiled
many ladies, now you want a virgin abi? “You
really need to grow up”; “where will you see
a virgin in this generation? Unless you go to
the village
4. When were you Disflowered?
Another statement they find very offensive.
They are most likely to give you a polite
embarrassment of your life. The ones who
are bold enough to answer that question will
subtract 5 years from when the deed was
done, and will tell you they lost it last year.
5. How many Guys have you got laid
with?
This is a question that can end a relationship
when asked (whether you wan to marry her
on not), so endeavour to avoid asking such a
question. It’s either they tell you they only
had it once with their ex who took advantage
of their undying love and forcefully coerced
them into sex. One once told me that she lost
her virginity when she was having her
bath ? She further said that she was washing
beneath that region when her sponge
accidentally slipped into her kitty-cat, and
she began to bleed.
6. Virgin Ladies are Decent
Non virgin ladies detest when you place too
much emphasis on virgin ladies praising or
hyping them. This statement will make them
feel they are worthless, hence, they get
offended
7. Have you ever been impregnated?
This reminds me of a thread which graced
the front page of nairaland few days ago. A
dude and his proclaimed girlfriend engaged
in an inquisitive conversation, only to ask her
if she had ever been impregnated at a point
in time. She got mad, walked out of him,
stopped picking his calls and her interest in
the relationship head on diminishing returns
8. When was the Last time you had Fun
In as much as this question is quite
unnecessary, don’t even dare ask if you don’t
want her to get offended. The ones who are
bold enough to be outspoken will vehemently
lie that it was 15 years ago
9. I cannot marry a non-virgin Lady
This is a discriminating statement which is
being uttered by some dudes. I trust that
every non virgin lady will be offended by this
statement
10. It’s expected of you to add the last
one

Crazy Pregnant Woman Shot Four Times By Her Love Rival; You Need To See The Man They Are Fighting For
31 year old Latoya Jackson (pictured left) shot her
love rival, 29 year old Tiara White at 7pm on
Monday Dec. 28th in Orlando, Florida, after an
arguement on Facebook over a man. Thankfully,
Tiara survived the shooting and is being treated in
hospital.
According to Police, Latoya contacted Tiara on
Facebook and began taunting her, saying she was
dating the man Tiara was pregnant for and
threatened to take her and her unborn baby out.
According to Fox 35 Orlando, on Monday afternoon,
Latoya showed up at a liquor store with two
friends, armed with bats, a machete, and a chain
with a lock on it, and confronted Tiara, who fled
the scene but she was later shot in a drive-by

Police Offer Scholarships To Nine Students In Yobe
Of the nine that passed the aptitude test, three
got scholarships from secondary school up to
the university level, while six primary school
pupils will be supported to their degree
programmes.
Presenting the scholarship certificates to the
beneficiaries, the Yobe State Commissioner of
Police (CP), Zannah Ibrahim, said that the
scheme is aimed at supporting Police officers’
children.
Mr Ibrahim disclosed that children of the
deceased would continue to enjoy the scheme
up to university level, while those still serving
will only be supported if their parents are not
found wanting in the discharge of their official
duties.
He commended the Inspector General of Police
(IGP), Mr Solomon Arase, for instituting the
scheme, saying it would stimulate productivity
among the rank and file, as well as give them a
sense of belonging.
Some parents of the beneficiaries of the award
expressed gratitude to the IGP. They
wished him God’s guidance and protection in
piloting the affairs of the Nigeria Police Force.
The CP also presented a commendation letter
from the IGP to the state Police Public
Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Toyin Gbadegesin,
for hard work, dedication to duty and for
incomparable Public Relations partnership
between the Force and the host community.
Mr Toyin Gbadegesin, in an interview with
newsmen after receiving the commendation
letter, dedicated the award to God, the IGP and
to journalists who continue to disseminate the
policies and programmes of the Police. He
promised to always justify the confidence
reposed in him.
Over a thousand students of the rank and files
in Yobe Police Command sat for the IGP
scholarship scheme exams in the state.
Ladies See the 7 Definite Signs Your Man Truly Loves you
01. He Treats You Well..
A guy who loves you is considerate of your feelings,
needs and desires. He makes them as important as
his desires and needs. He is concerned with your
well-being and will do things to make your life
better, sometimes going out of his way to do so.
Not only does he treat you well, he is also good to
your family and friends.
02. He Is Generous With His Time..
He doesn’t let too much time go by without seeing
you. When he is available, he wants to be with you
and chooses to spend his time with you. If you’re in

with you whenever your schedules allow. And you
are together during major holidays such as
Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New
Year’s Eve.
03. He Makes You A Priority..
You are at the forefront of his mind and he
maintains contact in between the times you see
each other. He considers you when making
decisions and is considerate about doing things you
want to do. When speaking, he uses “we” instead of
“I”, and includes you in his future plans.
04. He Cares For You ..
A guy who loves you is genuinely happy for you
when good things happen to you. He is
compassionate when you’re going through
challenges. This guy is there for you in the good
and not so good times. He thinks about you and
surprises you with tokens of affection outside of
your birthday, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. He
will also challenge you by calling you out on stuff to
help you become a better person.
05. He Wants People To Know About You ..
He is affectionate with you in public by holding your
hand, putting his arm around you and/or hugging
you. He is proud to be with you and has introduced
you to his family and friends. He brings you to
family functions and get-togethers with friends, and
takes you to company events.
06. He Treats Your Relationship With
Integrity ..
He is trustworthy and loyal to you and your
relationship. He is upfront with you about his past
girlfriends and skeletons in his closet. He does what
he says and will let you know if he’s not able to.
When issues come up, he is willing to work through
them. Although he isn’t perfect, he tries to be a
better man.
07. He Wants The Best For You ..
A guy who loves you encourages you to do things
you love, even if it means doing these things
without him. He wants you to spend time with
family and friends. He encourages you to find and
live your passions, knowing that if you are happy
and engaged with life, you’ll be happy and engaged

Lately I have been seeing a lot of women taking matters into their own hands and proposing to their boyfriends.
Do you think that this is a form of emasculation?
Or do you think that people should have the right to do whatever they want to do in their own relationships?...some people believe if you love somebody just walk-up him or her and let it out.
See the 7 Obstacles That Might Have Kept Some Of Our Ladies From Getting Married In 2015
Here are some hindrances that could have delayed
the marriages of some of our qualified Ladies:
1. Traditional Embargo:
It beats my imagination how some folks still hold
firmly to this; if he’s not from my place, I dare not
marry him. While, it’s good to heed to parent’s
advice, its you who will stay single till 30, not them.
Please, pray and watch. Be wise.
2. “Confused” Expectations In The Kind of guy
she wants.
I need a faithful guy, handsome, tall, godly , macho,
good with kids, he might drink socially, good cook…
if you notice; what relationship has being GODLY
and DRINKING alcohol share? My advice is, write
what you really really need in him. A goal not
written is a wish. Wishes aren’t horses anymore…
while writing, remember: If you want an 100% man,
get clay and mould him yourself. Wanting a man
that can cook just because you can’t, is denying
one of the core essence that makes you a mother,
wife and a woman. Learn how to cook, better. Let
him just be assisting. My advice.
3. Unrealistic Financial Expectations
If he’s not earning above 100k, I’m not interested.
Heard that before? That’s even the least. This days,
just get an ok car and they’re all over you. Who
wan marry poor man? I get. Dangote once slept
under a truck for months. If ladies truly have
“eyes” to see which guy will be successful or not;
while under the truck, politician’s daughters would
have been coming to say “Hi” to his rickety former
self.
Moral Lesson: Still, follow a man for his vision.
Not just for his BIG television.
4. War between her and in-laws
If he truly loves me, he’ll put me above his
siblings. Some girls have not yet become part and
parcel of the family and their character is already
exposing them. Call it wisdom, not hypocrisy. In-
laws deserve respect, why? They are humans like
you. I’m not speaking for myself though. Place
yourself in their shoes. A girl wants to marry your
brother and she’s acting all “rude” and “sensitive”.
You won’t tell him, go ahead. Will you? Unless
you’re like her tho…
5. Immaturity in handling little matters
He forgot my birthday, he’s not worth being my
“ideal” boo. I broke up with him. Did you just say
that? Its absolutely wrong to forget your girl’s
birthday but is that the only way of solving that
ish? Is there no better way? I’ve had to call
someone to call me and wish me a Happy Birthday,
with smiles on. It’s no big deal. I learnt it. We all
can do same. Be flexible and not immature. Most
times, her actions isn’t stemming from his
forgetting to call her but from many other things. I
understand. You can break up with him, if you
confirmed he’s been cheating. But, be sure. Let me
not derail. Next point will explain that…
6. Pride/Ego/Unforgiveness/Unnecessary
“Forming”
I’m not perfect but I know that unforgiveness pulls
one back and separates two lovebirds. If he cheated
on you for the first time and he reports himself
that it was a mistake- haba, you shouldn’t break
up. One more chance. Pride and ego are the most
reasons some are still lonely. Ordinary PM, you dey
form, “I don’t do PMs, and you are single” I think,
if you’re searching, be open a bit. That guy might
be the next Dangote…oops! I just pressed a button
there… Some girls form too much. You play hard to
get to someone you like as though there is not
enough serious business in marriage already: do
sharp sharp joor. When he turns away now, you’ll
blame point 7.
7. Spiritual Attacks
One man saw the devil crying, he asked him, Badoo,
why you crying? He replied, “Every little thing, they
blame me for it. They even lie on my head.”
Well, spiritual attacks are real though. But I
believe, “the curse causeless doesn’t come”. Ladies
don’t pray too much in church UNTIL the pastor
mentions, “every devil blindfolding his eyes from
seeing any single lady here, die!” Then, you’ll see
her in action. Onetime, I saw one pretty babe who
told me how she went one a very long fasting and
praying sessions to get her man. They pray, but the
only issue is some don’t watch.
It’s our prayer that God will locate every one of
our single ladies in the house Next year, 2016.
Amen!

Imo Police Launch ‘Operation Nkpochapu’
The Commissioner of Police, Taiwo Lakanu,
made the official disclosure of this operation at
the council headquarters of traditional rulers
in Owerri, the Imo state capital.
According to him, under Operation Nkpochapu,
the state has been crime-mapped and all red
and black spots have been identified and put
under serious observation as other covert
strategies had also been put in place to
checkmate criminals in the state.
He also unveiled a new pamphlet and phone
directory that contains the phone numbers of
officers and men of the command who work
round the clock for quick response and
immediate actions.
This, he said, would aid communication, quick
response and also enhance good police-civilian
relationship.
Over 500 traditional rulers from various
communities across Imo State gathered at
their council headquarters to receive the
leadership of the Imo State Police Command.
CP Lakanu, while appealing to the traditional
rulers as custodians of laws and culture to use
their good office and speak to their wards to
desist from crime. He asked for their continued
support and cooperation through giving
adequate tip-off and information that will help
the Police succeed.
The Chairman of the Imo State Council of
Traditional Rulers, Samuel Ohiri, commended
the command for the initiative.
He said that it would go a long way to build a
robust relationship between the people and
the Police and consequently help reduce the
rate of crime in the state.
Okorocha Presents 102bn Naira 2016 Budget
The Governor made the budget presentation
on Tuesday at the hallow chamber in Owerri,
the capital of Imo State in southeast Nigeria.
Governor Okorocha explained that the budget,
which was tagged ‘Budget of Consolidation and
Continuity’, showed that 43.1 per cent of the
total budget was proposed for capital
expenditure while 56.9 per cent was proposed
for recurrent expenditure.
He disclosed that the budget targeted 23
billion Naira from the Imo State’s share of the
Federal Allocation, 17 billion Naira from
Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and 148
billion Naira from Excess Crude Oil among
others.
The former presidential candidate hinted that
the budget was anchored on free and
qualitative education from primary to tertiary
level, rapid industrialisation, efficient
healthcare delivery, agricultural development.
He added that the budget would also
concentrate on infrastructure development and
substantial provision, saying it would be
channelled towards the completion of all
ongoing projects while new projects of high
priority would also receive attention in line
with the state’s medium term expenditure
framework.
Governor Okorocha maintained that the
Budget performance was affected by the sharp
drop in allocation from the Federation Account,
which adversely affected the revenue profile of
Imo State during the period, stressing that the
2016 budget was 39 billion Naira lesser than
that of 2015.

NUPENG To Suspend Fuel Supply To LASG Over N224m Debt
The National Union of Petroleum and Natural
Gas (NUPENG) on Tuesday said that the union
would stop supplying petroleum products to
Lagos State Government (LASG) over N224
million debt.
Mr Tokunbo Korodo, the South-West
Chairman of the union, told the News Agency
of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the debt arose
from a contract given to the union by the
LASG.
Korodo alleged that the N224 million was for
payment for the supply of diesel and
kerosene to LASG for direct labour projects
in Ojodu which were executed between
October 2014 and May 2015.
The union chairman said the contract was
financed by Skye Bank and the bank had
been asking for repayment of the loan.
“All efforts to prevail on state government to
pay this money through our letter dated Dec.
2, 2015 which was acknowledged on Dec.4
proved abortive.
“Now, the union is left with no option than
to stop supplying petroleum products to all
parastatal agencies of Lagos State.
“From today on, if this is not effective, we
may be forced to abandon Lagos as a whole
to demand for this payment as Skye Bank is
on our neck for this payment,” he said.
Korodo said that the union had reached out
to the Governor, Deputy Governor, Secretary
to the State Government and the State
Commissioner of Transportation over the
matter, but nothing was done.
The chairman said that all unions in the oil
sector would participate in the action.
“If this payment is not made on time every
union under oil workers will participate
because an injury to one person of the union
is injury to all members,” he said.
Officials of the state ministry of
transportation were not ready to speak on
the issue when contacted by a correspondent
of NAN.
They said they were not permitted to speak
to journalists.(NAN)

Hassan said: “I am a victim of insurgency.
“As I speak with you, five of my ribs are broken.
“There was an attempt on my life but we thank God I survived it.
“We have over 20,000 refugees and almost six million IDPs, we lost loved ones, properties and so many attacks on schools.
“Things are coming back to normal and we must commend our officers and soldiers on the field.

See why a Nigerian pastor was made to marry the Corpse Of Church Member He Impregnated
A supposed man of God in a community in Eket Local Government
Area of Akwa Ibom State, identified as Pastor Augustine Mendie ,
is in deep trouble as he was made to marry the corpse of a female
church member he had impregnated and tried to procure an
abortion for.
According to the reports, the pastor who is the General Overseer
of a pentecostal church in the area and married with children, is a
randy man who slept with many ladies in his church, both married
and single till he got his fingers burnt.
The lady who became his albatross, according to the information,
was the praise and worship leader of the church but also pastor’s
secret lover. No one in the church knew what was going on
between them until the lady got pregnant and informed the
pastor. The man who did not want to shoulder the responsibilities,
decided to procure an abortion for her. Unknown to him, the lady
had confided in her friend about the development.
In the process of the abortion, the pregnant lady lost her life.
When the bubble burst and the friend told the family of the late
woman that the pastor was responsible, all hell was let loose.
He initially tried to deny responsibility but after he was threatened
with the community’s deity, he agreed that he was actually the
one responsible.

Nigeria’s 4 refineries repositioned to produce 10m litres of PMS daily – Minister
The Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe
Kachikwu, said the nation’s refineries had
been repositioned to produce not less than
10 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit
(PMS), popularly known as petrol, per day.
Kachikwu stated this on Sunday during his
official visit to Kaduna Refining and
Petrochemical Company (KRPC).
According to him, the mission of the visit
was to ascertain the current state of the
refinery and identify areas of challenges
for the workers at the refinery.
“A lot of work has been done and a lot
manpower have been put in place. But a
lot still needs to be done in order to put
this refinery to work continuously and
reliably,” he said.
He noted that a lot of progress has been
made in terms of availability of fuel in the
various cities and towns as the long
queues are fast disappearing from the
filling stations.
While commending the management of
KRPC for keeping the refinery working for
more than a week now, he however said
there was room for improvement so as to
move the current production level from
1.5 million litres to 2 or 3 million litres
per day.
He expressed confidence that with more
refineries coming on stream the fuel
supply situation will continue to improve
in the country.
While fielding questions later from
newsmen, the minister said the Federal
Government was doing all it could do to
ensure the subsidy on fuel is resolved
without inflicting more pains on ordinary
Nigerians.
“Everybody is on the same page that we
need to get out of it; should we sale
product at a certain price or should we let
free market rolling so that we can sky
rocket prices,” he said.
According to him, the President says that
product should go for N87 per litre for
now and that he has given an approval to
look at market trends and make
adjustment if need be.
He assured that the administration was
committed to ensuring adequate supply of
petroleum products across the country.
The minister, who was received by the
Managing Director of KRPC management
headed by Mr Saidu Mohammed, was
accompanied by top NNPC officials during
the visit.
I Bled Profusely, Fainted as ‘Suspected Ritualist’ Raped Me’ —11 -yr-old Girl
When Mrs Lawal sent her 11-year-old grand-daughter (names
withheld) on an errand to deliver okro to a customer, she did
not envisage that the girl would be ambushed not to talk of being
raped.
The fate that befell the grand-daughter on November 29, 2015, at
Pure Water Bus Stop along Lagos-Badagry Road, was better
imagined than experienced; she was found lying on a culvert
unconscious, with blood all over her body.
It was learned that victim was ambushed on her way to the next
street when a 27-year-old bakery worker, identified as Sule,
allegedly ambushed her, dragged her to an uncompleted building
and raped her.
It was alleged that Sule then abandoned the little girl there. She
regained consciousness and barely
able to walk out of the uncompleted building when she collapsed
on a culvert near Adebola International School, along palace road.
The suspect allegedly ran away after the rape, but police officers
from Morogbo Divisional Police Headquarters apprehended him
a week later.
Narrating her ordeal, the Primary 3 pupil said:
‘’After my grandma returned from the market that day,
she sent me to her customer who sells cooked food at
the other street. She asked me to supply her fresh okro
which the customer had ordered for.
It was while I was on my way there that uncle Sule,
who works in a bakery at Itoro area, called me. He
said he wanted to buy okro for his wife. I told him
the okro was not for sale, and that my mother’s
friend had ordered for it. He said I should follow him,
but I refused. All of a sudden, he grabbed me and
dragged me to an uncompleted building. When I tried to
shout, he used his hand to cover my mouth. As I tried
to struggle, he tore my clothes and removed my pants.
He also used his nails to injure my back as I attempted
to escape, he over powered me and raped me.””
Mrs Lawal, the grandma, also gave her perspective of the incident.
She stated:
“After waiting for about 30 minutes for her to come
back from the errand, I started looking for her because
the place where she was supposed to take the okro to
was the next street, less than 10 minutes’ walk.
It was around 2pm that I asked her to go and give the
okro to my customer who placed the order. After
waiting for her to come, I started looking for her
before an Okada man came to alert me that they had
found my grand-daughter at about 2:30pm, and that
she was lying unconscious on a culvert close to Adebola
School.
When I got there, onlookers had gathered at the scene.
I was pained at what I saw; my little girl soaked in her
own blood, her clothes torn. It was obvious she had
been raped, as she was bleeding profusely, but because
she was unconscious we didn’t know who was
responsible. Immediately, I called my husband and he
asked me to report the case to the police. When we got
to Morogbo Police Station, they gave us police report
and referred us to the General Hospital, Badagry.’’
She continued:
“A doctor’s report from the hospital confirmed that
my grand child was raped, as she had deep cuts and
severe injuries inflicted on her virginal which caused
the bleeding. The doctor stated that because of
complications arising from the rape, her womb had
been affected and that she needed urgent surgery. So
they referred us to Igando General Hospital, along Iba
-LASU road where they said they had the facility to
handle her case.”’
Also speaking on the incident, Mr Lawal, the grandfather of the
victim, said:
“I was not at home when my wife called me that
something terrible had happened. Immediately, I asked
her to go the police station to report the case. I met
her at Morogbo Divisional Police Station.
“From Badagry General Hospital, I had to charter a cab
that took us to Igando General Hospital, but because of
traffic, we did not get to Igando until around 11pm
and, by 12 midnight, she was in the theater because of
the serious nature of her case. She was on admission
from that day till Sunday when she was discharged.
’All we want is for justice to be done. Sincerely, we
don’t know the effect of this rape on this little girl. We
don’t know if the rapist did it for ritual purposes. We
want justice because we don’t know the outcome of
this. Already, we have spent about N150, 000 on the
treatment and surgery she underwent. Currently, the
police at Panti are demanding money to continue the
prosecution of the case. One of them asked for N20,
000.”
It was gathered that the case was transferred from Morogbo to
