Bayelsa guber: Heavy shooting in Oporoma

Heavy shooting reported at Oporoma
headquarters of Southern Ijaw local
government area has forced residents to stay
indoors.
This is in spite of the ten gunboats deployed
in the waterways to wade off would be
trouble makers in the area.
BRASS: SECURITY Operatives last night
arrested some suspected armed men who
attacked Journalists and other persons
proceeding on election duty at restive
Odioma community in Brass Local
Government area.
There was sporadic shooting and the
travellers had to scamper for safety at about
8pm.
Our reporter can report that with the prompt
arrest of the trouble shooters the situation
brought under control .
Shooting at Brass, suspected parties thugs
clashing. Gun shots can be heard from the
distance.
There is tension in the Nembe-Brass
waterways despite smooth and early
distribution of materials. Accreditation is
about to commence in Okpaoma, Eweoma
communities.
