Oscar Pistorius granted bail…with stringent conditions

Blade-runner, Oscar Pistorius has been
allowed to remain on bail pending the
sentencing for the murder of his girlfriend,
Reeva Steenkamp
South Africa’s supreme court of appeal, had
last week, overturned his previous conviction
for culpable homicide.
The North Gauteng high court judge
postponed the case until 18 April 2106 and
allowed him to stay under house arrest on a
bail of 10,000 rand.
Under the bail conditions was compelled to
hand over his passport and will be
electronically tagged and must submit travel
plans to the investigating officer.
He is expected to appear at 9am on
postponement date and until then, he will
also be under house arrest but may leave
between 7am-12pm.
Pistorius has been living under house arrest
at his uncle’s home in Pretoria, after being
released from prison in October.
